Anyone at WHCA right now? I am headed there this Sept. I am told that I'll be in Messaging Center but not much else about the work. I've worked Exchange and AD for a couple of years while at Ramstein but I imagine there will be some old antiquated system I'll get stuck on. If anyone knows someone there now that info would be appreciated as well.

I am, and have been for the last 4 years plus. What kind of questions do you have?

I interviewed for this job a few years ago. They said I was their best candidate... except that I had no credit history to check. I had no debts and hadn't ever owned a credit card, which is apparently bad for your credit. How odd...

I got a STAR card that same day and put a few purchases on it to build credit, but the recruiters never came back to my base. Their supposed recruiting website just led me in circles too. Not that it matters much now. I'm married mil-to-mil now and I hear you move around a lot with White House Comm. I'm sure my wife wouldn't be happy with that.

I also have worked here for almost 4 years, although I never worked in the Comm Center.

The easiest way to apply is through Equal Plus. It is possible, but harder, to bring someone in other ways. The BIGGEST disqualifying thing is credit history. The security clearance is the hard part. If people have any questions about the job let me know (PM) and I will do my best to answer them. I've seen most parts of the Agency now after 4 years, and can give an objective look at most of it.
