So i realized that there isnt a forum on here for food. Kinda sad.
But to the point, I have noticed that a lot of people i talk to have never had fried pickles. this makes me sad. they are delicious. I suggest going to your local hooters and getting some [fried pickles]. Unless you are at keesler. then go to Shady's.

I spend some time in Montgomery, AL. The fried green tomatoes were pretty good too.

I take some plain valasic pickles. Cut them and let them sit out for about an hour to lose some juice so the batter holds better. I mix some pickle juice into the egg wash to add some flavor that was lost during the drying out back. Batter them in plain old flour + salt/pepper/cayenne. Then put them in a ziploc in the fridge for about 15 min. Keep the extra batter in the bag with them and shake it from time to time. Then just fry as normal.
Serve them with a ranch and tabassco mix.
I generally make them with my chicken and waffles. As a side. If you've never tried chicken and waffles you're missing out. Some how waffles, chicken, syrup, and hot sauce mixes so well. However your farts will be abnormally horrid a day or so after. Not general fart smell, kind of a rotten death smell.

Besides the eye candy, fried pickles are about the only good thing at Hooters. The wings suck! If I have the choice I'm going to BWW.

Honestly, I've never had them, literally or figuratively. Sorry for the really bad joke. I haven't had my coffee yet.

They're suprisingly good if they're done right.

That's what the doctor gives you. The cream is over the counter stuff....available at fine drug stores everywhere! Not that I would know.

Its funny, we were just talking about fried pickles today at work. There was a little shack outside of Tyndall that sold the best fried pickles ive ever had. Cant remember the name of it though.

I'm not a big fan of pickles and I think fried pickles taste awful.
Although if I'm hungry enough, I'll eat a whole jar of sweet pickles in one sitting. They're the only kind I can stand.

I haven't been there since the late 90's but it was the best Catfish in the area back then. Excellent food and the view from the patio is nice...as long as the mosquitos don't eat you alive in the summer. Is this the place that serves everything on tin dishes? It's right before you cross over a bridge for that back bay? I haven't eaten there since the late 90's but then it was the best catfish in the area and they served everything family style.

Glock Yeah, that the place. I went there with my 7-Level class for our last night dinner before our test the next morning. 7-Level was a joke, but it was a nice vacation for two weeks. I still remember going out to Aunt Jenny's, though.
