I'm already sick of hearing about how the Saints had to overcome Katrina to get the superbowl. If this was '06 I'd agree, maybe. It's not though, it's 6 years later, and I highly doubt any of these millionares were truely effected by katrina beyond the minor inconvience of filling out insurance paper work and having to go spend all their money on new stuff.
Seriously, it's been 5 years, shut up about a natural occurence that you were too stupid to get out of town for, then moved back anyways.
This almost erks me as much as when I hear a woman talk about how she overcame so much to win a completely non-physical activity like poker or F1.

Yeah yeah. I was in a hurry.
I'm not splitting hairs on the date. It was 05. It's 5 years. Regardless, you don't see Mississippi, who was hit way harder, still bitching and asking for handouts. Nope, the next day we started cleaning and rebuilding instead of playing the woe is me card. Yet every time you hear anything about NO they have to put in some line about how much they've been through. Just like whenever there is a Haitan sports star they have to remind you that they are of Haitan decent and how much they've overcome. It's just the announcer/commentator trying to act as if they really care to boost their own ego and reputation.

I know, but every article or show I see about the win, says something like "came so far from/overcame/moved past...katrina".

I havent heard anything about them dedicating this season to it but I am sure they did that the following year after it happened. If they had only won it then we would have something to talk about.
