I just got orders to PCS with a RNLTD of Aug. I am guessing CSA duty since I am a 3D1. Does anyone have any info on the SQ. Also does anyone know if there is a wait list for on base housing? Thanks.

Been in the Joint Base Hickam-Pearl Harbor area for about a year now. All base housing is privatized and there is definitely a waiting list to live on base. Check with your sponsor to see if you qualify for any of the other military housing. There are plenty around. I live on Pearl City Housing (Navy Housing) but all services live here. Just know that there is a lot of renovations going on. So don't take an older place that you'll have to move out of within a year so they can fix. You can get decent stuff in towns around the base but unless you like sitting in traffic, stay away from Eva Beach no matter how nice the house looks. TRUST ME!

Hey fellas, I just got orders there as well. Coming from Ramstein. I got a RNLTD of 9 Oct. Thought the orders must have been a mistake....but i see a few others got them as well. I am a 3d1x2(Cyber Transport). I agree this must be CSA related. Anybody heard from a sponsor there yet? I could deal with Hawaii for a few years i guess...

I'm contacting the Base Functional to get the details of the assignment. I personally know the J6 Pearl Harbor and see can contact the Hickam func. Hopefully, we not performing duties as a helpdesk function or anything of that nature. Anyway, I can't complain I'll be in Hawaii.
