Has anyone checked out the list? for 3d1x2s there is 25 spots for ssgts to Osan alone, jesus.

Also, all the info under them seems to be screwed up, because they all say

Everyone with 9 short tours or less and a return date equal to or earlier than 99-9999 may be selected as a non-volunteer for this assignment, however, this does not prevent you from volunteering for any assignments on this listing.

That means everyone is eligible for a non-vol.

On a side-note, it's nice to finally have some options. I've was a pipeline 3C3 who never had more than 3 or 4 options. 2 of which were always Korea.

lol, the X2 list is jacked up with Korea.

The X3 list only has 11 slots to Korea for the all ranks option. We are loaded with good assignments. I mean they are looking for an A1C to go to Aviano.

I just looked at the X2 list, seems like the X3 list blows this one out of the water for good overseas assignments. Good luck to all.

Anyone know anything about North Bay Canada? I am a 3D0X3 and that is on my overseas list. It looked interesting and a chance to go to a real AF squadron instead of an Army post.

No doubt a joint assignment with the Canadian military. Where is North Bay? Is it a remote tour?

I know you can use google as well as I can, but just in case here's the link I found:

http://www.airforce.forces.gc.ca/22w-22 ... ex-eng.asp

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CFB_North_Bay

So I think it'd be a liaison to NORAD, probably an AFELM of 50 or less. Probably the comsec/security dude for the AFELM and help keep what ever NORAD has there up and running. Just my thoughts, no idea what actually happens there. Probably cold :)

There was some jobs in Canada on the X2 list, but I didn't see where....

Hope it helps! Josh

For some reason I rarely think of googling things...so thanks for adding the links. As for this assignment, one good thing is the US dollar is still worth more than the CDN dollar, but not by much...less than 5% I think. Used to be a lot more. They speak a similar language and there aren't many people who get stationed in Canada. 3 hr drive from Toronto or Ottowa makes it seem like the North Bay is in the boonies. But it looks like the place would be great for an outdoors-oriented person. If you live for the big city, you better pass this one up.
